DC - The Neighborhood

Updated: Jun 13, 2020

South East London artist DC has created a name for himself over the last few years with his album “Under the city”, and his singles from Playboy, to Rush to Dock city. DC can seamlessly transition between the core sounds of the streets in the UK, including: drill, R&B, grime and rap.

DC is a very humble artist. He has so much love for his Mother as he has seen her go from nothing to accomplishing all the things she has. DC also stays true to the fact of

where he is from and his upbringings in Greenwich. Living in Greenwich, DC is constantly surrounded by the slang, the grittiness, the people and the confidence it gave him which can be heard in his music, and even reflects on some of his inspirations, like JCole, Chip and Giggs.

Neighbourhood is DC’s latest release. Filmed around his area, DC comes with a subtle, comfortable flow on a soothing beat produced by TSB, which is matched with a vintage old school style video, of in and around Greenwich, directed by Dir Lx & DC and produced by Kareem Adeshina. DC incorporates film and stand still photos in the video, keeping the visuals gritty on a chilled instrumental.

DC is expected to be brought into the light this year, after more people are relating and hearing his story as more than just music. Both with his creative direction and sound, DC is one to look out for as there are a few who can offer what DC can throw out.
